All universal declarations of human rights prohibit racial discrimination based on the color of human skin. Despite many decades of efforts by the international community, the cases of racial discrimination in some parts of the world, and remarkably in the United States of America, are still present and some new manifestations have emerged. The popular protests of blacks and whites in America and other countries along with the oppressed may be considered as a sign of the gradual decline of the soft power of the Western and American civilization as a result of racial discrimination. Using a comparative-analytical approach, this article has tried to investigate the problem of "racial discrimination" and its effects in the decline of Western civilization and the United States of America. در منشور جهانی حقوق بشر، مسئله «تبعیض نژادی» یکی از مهم ترین و اساسی ترین مفاهیمی است که بیان شده است. تمام اعلامیه های جهانی حقوق بشر از تبعیض نژادی بر مبنای رنگ پوست بشر نهی کرده اند. به رغم دهه های متمادی تلاش جامعه بین المللی، هنوز مظاهر تبعیض ن‍ژادی در برخی نقاط جهان و به نحو قابل تأملی در ایالات متحده امریکا پایدار مانده و مظاهر جدیدی از آن بروز نموده است. شاید بتوان اعتراضات مردمی سیاه پوستان و سفیدپوستان امریکا و دیگر کشورها همراه با مستضعفان را نشانه ای از افول تدریجی قدرت نرم تمدن غرب و امریکا در نتیجه تبعیض نژادی قلمداد کرد. این نوشتار کوشیده است با رویکردی تطبیقی ـ تحلیلی به بررسی مسئله «تبعیض نژادی» و کارایی آن در افول تمدن غرب و ایالت متحده امریکا بپردازد. https://hoghoughi.nashriyat.ir/sites/hoghoughi.nashriyat.ir/files/1402-10/7.pdf
